    Brijon Veterinary Urgent Care is a brand new, small business urgent care center in Hanover, MA. Our facility has all new, state of the art equipment. We are open 8 hours a day, 7 days a week (excluding major holidays). Our hours are 2pm-10pm, Monday-Friday, and 11am-7pm Saturday and Sunday. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care to our furry friends throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. We see scheduled appointments, as well as walk-in cases.

    Full Time Veterinarians will work 4 days a week, and Part Time or Per Diem employees will work anything under 32 hours.

    The right candidate should have a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with clients as well as our furry patients. If you decide to join our team, you will be working in a fast-paced, fun environment.

    Our veterinarian should be able to:

    1. Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnose and treat diseases, and provide preventive care as needed.

    2. Utilize a problem-based approach that includes developing a complete problem list for every patient examined, a complete list of differential diagnoses for each problem identified, a complete diagnostic plan, and appropriate treatments based on interpretation of diagnostic test results leading to confirmed or suspected diagnoses.

    3. Proper and thorough documentation of all patient observations, exam findings, diagnostics, treatments, medications, client communication and all diagnoses in the patient’s medical record.

    4. Comfortable with performing anesthesia and routine surgical procedures like laceration or wound repairs, minor mass removals, manage urethral obstructions, and stabilize patients. Proficiency with more complex procedures and dental procedures is an added advantage.

    5. Develop treatment plans for outpatient hospitalization and ability to transition patients to overnight care as needed and communicate effectively with referral hospitals in order to ensure continuity of patient care.

    6. Must be comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries including but not limited to: canine and feline spays, neuters, mass removals, laceration and wound management and dentals.

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Communicate effectively with clients and staff members in order to improve the level of care provided by all, to both the patient and the client.

    2. In order to completely fulfill all duties of this job safely you must be able to stand, walk, kneel, hear and see. You will frequently be on your feet and expected to be able to lift and move things, including our animal patients.

    3. Ability to lift 25lbs unassisted.

    4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

    Education/License:

    1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school or its equivalent
    2. Current DEA license
    3. Current Controlled Substance License, if applicable, in state in which the hospital is located or ability to obtain by start date
