Our company is currently GROWING and seeking a staff accountant to join our team!

The staff accountant will be an integral partner in our finance team, responsible for accurate and timely closings, preparation of board materials, and play a supporting role in our ongoing M&A process.  

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated candidate that is a team player and will assist in all aspects of the accounting department.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for preparation of accurate and timely financial recordkeeping and ensure adherence to business management related policies and procedures, including AR, AP, Bank Reconciliations, and other GL Account Reconciliations
• Implement, monitor, and improve internal controls and processes
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
• Monitor daily cash balances to ensure cash flow requirements are met
• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Assist in preparations of monthly and quarterly board reporting packages
• Assist in integrations of M&A

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of General Accounting experience, preferably a mix of in-house accounting experience plus operating company
• Highly proficient in MS Office Excel and Word
• Solid understanding of accounting principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently but also thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
• Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work volume

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree required; active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation preferred.
