JOB TITLE: Marketing Intern
LOCATION: New York, New York
TIMING: 8 weeks (June 14th – August 6th) on site (preferred)
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The VMG Partners ecosystem of brands stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion. As such, in partnership with their portfolio companies – Briogeo Haircare, Nutpods, Spindrift, Stone, Velocity Snack Brands, Lily's, The Pill Club – 8 interns from colleges across the country will partake in an 8-week internship program in which they will participate in on-the-job training across a range of functions, as well as engage in panels, workshops, and more. To ultimately, equip them with skills and network to start a career within CPG, whether as an entrepreneur, marketer or beyond.
Briogeo is a clean haircare brand looking for a Marketing Intern for Summer 2021. This is a fast-paced and motivated team who is passionate about fostering community and great product! Briogeo is committed to building a diverse and inclusive culture and is looking for a talented summer intern to help them continue to raise the bar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to assisting the team on day-to-day needs and taking on ad hoc projects, you will work on one major project to be completed in your 8-week internship. Examples of this could include (but are not limited to):
- Support the marketing team across all channels, including (but not limited to) in-store, ecommerce, digital advertising, social media, and PR.
- Monitor the competitive landscape (in-store and online) and report to the broader team.
- Ideate on innovative storytelling and programs to drive awareness and build advocacy for the brand.
- Assist with research and vetting potential brand marketing opportunities aligned to category-specific goals.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Must be a team player with a passion for storytelling
- Must care deeply about the beauty and wellness space
- Excellent organization and communication skills are essential, including written communication
- Must be informed on the latest trends and platforms across the social media landscape
- Must be proficient in Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Slides, etc.) & Microsoft Office Suite as well as an avid user of social media. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
- Undergraduate degree required/in process
