The ideal candidate needs to have experience in preparing detailed estimates for the project based on the construction drawings & specifications and communicating bids and scopes of work. Responsibilities: • Prepare a detailed estimate by completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for all items incorporated in the assigned scope. • Compute labor, construction materials, time, and product costs to estimate the overall cost of construction projects. • Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs. • Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers. • Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole. • Inquire with clients regarding the status of submitted proposals and budgets. • Support constructability reviews through communication with the project team, designers, and subcontractor market. Qualifications: • Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed. • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and projects. • Comprehension of research methodology, accounting, data, risk analysis, and estimation metrics is crucial. • Requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and very strong math skills. • Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial. • A Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, accounting, or a related field is required. Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 yearly
