    Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC seeks a Preconstruction Manager to join our Pre-Construction team. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a proven track record of demonstrated abilities. This position is fully remote and involves managing all aspects of developing competitive or negotiated design build and design bid build construction price proposals from initial customer RFP receipt to project award. Some travel, up to 20%, may be required for this role. Responsibilities: • Lead discussions with senior management to determine bid/no-bid decisions • Analyze RFP scope to align with capture strategy and identify potential risks • Conduct risk assessments and present findings to senior management • Assist in drafting and reviewing technical proposals • Create and manage subcontractor databases for future use • Develop bid scopes for trade packages and ensure subcontractor compliance • Identify and select subcontractors for price proposals • Evaluate long lead items for materials/supplies • Ensure accuracy of pricing model data • Manage customer RFI process and communicate responses to subcontractors • Analyze subcontractor bid proposals for project scope coverage • Collaborate with teaming partners to develop project concepts • Assess project risks and address cost exposures in price proposals • Coordinate with preconstruction team members effectively • Work with A&E partners on design-build opportunities • Facilitate the transition of awarded projects to field operation staff • Support field operations staff in project buyout post-award • Communicate price proposal development process to senior management Qualifications: • 10 years experience in design-build and design-bid-build projects, federal agencies preferred • Construction Management or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Extensive skills in interpreting project design drawings, specifications, and code requirements • Ability to interpret customer RFP requirements to ensure the proposal is fully compliant with RFP documents • Ability to dissect customer RFP packages to solicit pricing at the trade level • Ability to travel to attend pre-bid site walk-throughs, some may be overnight trips • Ability to develop competitive price proposals on multiple projects simultaneously (4 to 6 proposals at varying stages of development) • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal • Proficiency with computer software including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.). ProEst or similar experience desirable • Proficient understanding of estimating software • Ability to develop concept schedules from RFP documents • Ability to work independently and make decisions commensurate with the position • 5 years experience estimating multi-trade construction projects ranging from $2M to $30M • US Citizen or applicable for work in the US • Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders • Unrestricted driver’s license • Ability to pass background checks for security and base access • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results Physical Requirements • This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions • Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. It is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise. Compensation: $95,000 - $140,000 yearly
