We are currently seeking a motivated and committed Construction Project Coordinator to join our SES Construction and Fuels Services division, a subsidiary of BBCH. In this pivotal role, you will provide direct support to the project management team. Responsibilities: • Interface directly with Program and Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and other Project Coordinators, as well as home office Operations Staff such as Accounting, Contracts, and IT. • Provide support to the Project Manager by assisting with project setup, preparing subcontractor bid packages, managing purchase orders, handling invoicing, ensuring certified payrolls, managing scheduling, preparing and submitting documents, organizing project files and documentation, attending meetings, taking and distributing meeting notes, aiding with project commissioning/closeout, and offering additional project support as needed. • Participate in construction-related training sessions. • Be available to assist the Project Manager on-site as required. • Be prepared for occasional travel. • Be willing to work on job sites when necessary. • Be open to working overtime when needed to meet project deadlines. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project management support role and/or B.S. Degree in a related field or relevant experience that demonstrates overall knowledge • Thorough understanding of construction terminology, practices, and job site safety • Good knowledge of construction budgeting and management practices • Must be team-oriented and willing to assist other project coordinators as required • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications • Ability to enter, access, and retrieve data from company databases • Ability to interact well at multiple levels with site and home office personnel • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through with duties and assignments • Good organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal) • Ability to perform job requirements with limited day-to-day management support • Advanced MS Office skills • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with RMS and Primavera P6 is a plus • Experience with federal construction projects particularly DOD/USACE is a plus Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Environment: Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
