    Herman Construction Group, Inc. (HCG), a subsidiary of Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH), is looking to expand its team! We are currently in need of a skilled individual to fill the role of Quality Control Manager/Site Safety Health Officer for our thriving construction division. Project Scope of Work Repair Tower Interstitial Decks Project, Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA 98431. The objective of this project is for the Contractor to provide all labor, materials, Equipment, and manpower necessary to repair the Interstitial Decks to hospital standards at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis McChord, Tacoma, WA, in accordance with all Federal, State, Installation, and MAMC Codes and Laws, Safety Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and Manufacturer Requirements. Over the years due to general wear and tear, the lightweight concrete deck has failed in heavy traffic areas. This wear also creates dust issues in the interstitial spaces that could potentially spread to operational spaces of the hospital and clinic areas. The interstitial deck repair will be completed in ten (10) phases. Completion of this project will restore the interstitial decks to their original condition so that they may be used for their intended purposes. Responsibilities: • As the Construction Quality Control Manager, you will oversee and manage all quality control operations for the Contractor, SES Fuels & Construction Services, LLC • Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records of quality control activities, tests, and operations, ensuring subcontractors and suppliers meet quality standards • Authorized to act in all quality control matters and ensure that required quality control activities and tests are performed • As the Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO), you will be in charge of managing the Contractor's Safety Program • Responsibilities involve maintaining current records of safety operations, activities, training, monitoring, and inspections, including subcontractors' and suppliers' work • Authorized to act in all safety matters and ensure that necessary safety training, monitoring, and inspections are conducted on the work site Qualifications: • USACE CQCM Certification • OSHA 30-Hour training certificate • First Aid/CPR certifications • EM 385-1-1 • Construction training and experience requirements Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, climbing, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife.
