Responsibilities: • Assist in the day-to-day production of spatial data and map figures using ESRI GIS (Geographic Information Services), GPS (Global Positioning Software) and Autodesk CAD (Computer Automated Design) software. • Primarily work in the GIS platform. • CAD data (such as surveys, engineered design drawings, etc.) are integrated into almost every aspect of the graphics production workflow as some projects will specifically require the use of CAD design while others are only support elements. • Manage GPS data and support the staff in their field data collection workflows. Qualifications: • Working knowledge of basic GIS principles • ESRI and Autodesk Certifications • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or a related field is preferred though not required with equivalent experience. • 3-5 years of working experience in the environmental consulting, civil engineering, or natural resources management fields is desirable. • Experience or expertise in the following hardware/software platforms is preferred: ESRI ArcGIS Pro (desirable) and/or ArcMap Desktop, ESRI ArcGIS Online, ESRI Field Maps, Survey123, or Collector apps, Autodesk AutoCAD, Map 3D or Civil 3D, Trimble GPS mobile field data collection devices, Microsoft Office 365 (specifically Excel) Physical Requirements Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Near visual acuity to review documentation, ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels. Must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
