  • Responsibilities

    Bristol Management Services, a management company for multiple Concrete manufacturing and servicing companies, seeks an IT Technician Level 2 to provide on-site and remote IT services and support for about 250 users, computers, devices, systems, equipment and applications; troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues; deploy and implement new technologies; provide and implement best practices and recommendations, and follow escalation processes. Play a key role in providing IT services such as maintaining, updating, monitoring, managing, administering, troubleshooting and repairing company’s IT systems, as well as handling support tickets as a HelpDesk technician over the phone or onsite. Salary: $60-70k annually based on experience.

    Responsibilities:

    This individual will be responsible for the following duties:

    Provide after-hours support for critical issues

    Provide onsite, remote and/or phone support to all users.

    Perform HelpDesk services and handle IT tickets professionally, efficiently and in a timely manner.

    Escalate advanced issues to appropriate support team.

    Maintain excellent records of work completed.

    Testing, validating and performing resolutions.

    Manage, execute, and document project work.

    Effectively communicate with and educate end users. Provide status updates to management.

    Self-directed engagement of support requests and projects.

    Install, troubleshoot, and repair computers hardware, software, systems, and peripherals.

    Follow IT and security policies and procedures.

    Maintain and organize IT areas and Server rooms.

    General Competencies

    Applicant must be organized with attention to detail.

    Possesses a valid Driver’s License.

    Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.

    Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.

    Ability to train and educate users to improve utilizing IT resources securely and efficiently.

    Technical Competencies

    Microsoft Windows Operating Systems knowledge.

    IT security awareness.

    Intermediate networking skills.

    Familiar with IP cameras’ installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

    Electrical experience is a plus.

    Crystal Reports experience is a plus.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, and Firewalls is a plus.

    Minimum Requirements

    Experience with structured cabling/rack management.

    Intermediate software and systems troubleshooting skills

    Advanced hardware troubleshooting skills.

    Ability to execute remote and onsite/in person technical support.

    Ability to deploy Operating System images and install and configure common software.

    Intermediate understanding of routing, switching, and common networking concepts/protocols including TCP/IP, Ports, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, VPN, etc.

    Ability to deploy and configure workstation Operating Systems.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field.

    At least 5 years of related experience.

    Job function related Certification(s) such as: CompTIA Network+, A+, Cisco CCNA, MCSA or other similar certifications are plus.

    Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00-5:00. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    Traveling locally and nationally might be necessary to perform job-related tasks or to attend training seminars, conferences, and events.
