    The Bilingual Employee Relations Human Resources Specialist provides guidance to employees and supervisors/managers by answering questions, assisting with issues and concerns, working with employees and supervisors to address employee relations issues, including discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Essential Functions• Work with employees and supervisors to identify additional training, coaching and mentoring opportunities for employees who may be having difficulties learning and performing their jobs. • Answer questions and provide information relating to benefits, policies and procedures, payroll, etc. • Advise managers/supervisors on company policies and procedures.• Partner with the HR Director on employee relations matters, investigations and other matters as needed.• Assist in the resolution of complaints and employee issues by partnering with the HR Director to ensure effective solutions that are beneficial to the employee and organization.• Partners with plant managers, area managers and general managers to ensure positive employee relations and relationship building between EE and manager.• Ensures all complaints, issues and or concerns are addressed, escalated and resolved in a timely manner.• Provides daily, weekly reports to HR Director on area of responsibility.• Conducts meetings, coordinates training on going and as needed.• Other duties as assigned.Competencies• Excellent communication skills• Must be bilingual – Fluent in Spanish• Excellent mediation/coaching skills• HR Expertise.• Strong Employee Relations Background.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office but also will visit the ready mix plants and construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Travel75%Required Education and Experience1. A bachelor's degree and two years of HR experience in an Employee Relations role, or seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.2. Excel, Word, Power Point mid-level experience. Preferred Education and Experience1. SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential. Or PHR Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).2. Experience working in a fast paced, construction/concrete manufacturing industry, with a diverse culture, is a definite PLUS! Additional Eligibility Qualifications1.
