    Under the direction of HR Director, the HR Compliance Specialist will ensure the company’s compliance with relevant legislation, including, but not limited to EEO, CCPA, ADA, FMLA, DOT, OFCCP, OSHA, MSHA and other applicable laws that impact the company. This role will communicate and reinforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance, conduct audits, investigate work-related employee relations incidents, develop, and implement HR compliance training and improvement plans to employees and managers, amongst other tasks. The HR Compliance Specialist must have excellent organizational and time management skills and have an expert level understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. Not eligible for remote work. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Pay Rate: $72,000 - $85,000 based on experience

    Essential Duties:

    · Under direction, will partner with and support the HR Director, to identify, resolve, mitigate organizational risk related to Human Resources compliance activities.

    · Stay abreast of new HR laws and regulations and communicate changes to the HR team.

    · Assess HR policies and practices to ensure legal compliance. Measure current compliance with relevant legislation to update internal policies and practices.

    · Provide direct support to plant and corporate managers in general Human Resources compliance, internal audits, and external required reporting.

    · Verify that all company and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated to all employees.

    · Develop and implement semi-regular and ad-hoc compliance training programs and improvement plans for identified compliance areas for employees and managers.

    · Collaborate with legal counsel to address compliance issues or concerns.

    · Assist in responding to audits, investigations, or legal inquiries related to HR compliance.

    · Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional compliance efforts.

    · Assist in analyzing data for and submitting timely reports on behalf of the company for various compliance reporting including, but not limited to; Vets, EEO-1, Pay Equity, AAP Certification, Diversity Outreach.

    Non-Essential Duties:

    · Participate in other special HR projects and assignments as needed.

    · Create training packets to further the instruction of current employees.

    · Assist HR Director with needs assessments for training and employee development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.

    · Assist in benchmarking best practices for development and deployment of HRIS systems.

    · Partner with HR, area managers, safety and recruiting to identify and evaluate training and other learning resources.

    · Participate in the emergency response/safety meetings and coordinates all required HR training.

    · Complies with safety and security policies and procedures. Work with plant managers to report on potentially unsafe conditions.

    · Process and detail oriented, organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

    · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

    · Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

    Travel Required: Estimated at least 50%

    Preferred Education and Experience

    High School Diploma. Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by management. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources concepts and Federal and State Laws. Proven project management experience.

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred
