    I.T. Support Specialist

    Summary/Objective The I.T. Support Specialist will play a key role in providing support for all areas of I.T. The ideal person will be detail-oriented, thorough and organized, as they will be managing the fleet of printers for the company; updating systems, troubleshooting problems and providing hands-on support for the organization, as well as handle the day to day maintenance of PC’s and IT systems.

    Summary/Objective

    · Management of computer peripherals and output devices.

    · Planning, management and delivery of assigned IT projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.

    · Sets and tracks project milestones.

    · Establishes and implements project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff.

    · Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.

    · Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers.

    · May perform system setups for new hires.

    · Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices.

    · Work with other IT staff members to maintain an organized and tidy IT storage area and Server room.

    · Ability to train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.

    · Ability to provide instructions to users over the phone.

    Technical Competencies

    · Familiar with IP cameras’ installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

    · Electrical experience is a plus.

    · Crystal Reports experience is a plus.

    · Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

    · Knowledge of VMware, Citrix, and Firewalls is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Constant travel to concrete plans to perform tasks such as installing security cameras, troubleshoot phone issues and wiring, Network problems.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to climb concrete plants to perform IT related tasks such as installing and/or adjusting Security Cameras, install or troubleshoot Wireless Access Points, or simply run wires.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours to be discussed during the interview. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

    Travel

    Travelling locally and nationally might be necessary to perform job related tasks or to attend training seminars, conferences, and events.

    Preferred Education and Experience

    · Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field.

    · At least 6 years of related experience.

    Additional Licenses

    Must possesses a valid Driver’s License.
