    The Aquatics Lead at British Swim School is a fantastic position to build your portfolio and career along with having a feeling of daily fulfillment through living our Mission “To ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer” In this position, you will be responsible for leading, maintaining and retaining a dynamic swim instructor team. This, in turn, will lead to the retention and success of all British Swim School students. Results are achieved through program analysis, strategic planning, execution, and leadership through the constant promotion of a fun and gentle approach to student engagement and progression. Maintaining a high level of brand standards across the program is essential for success.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Reports to and communicates directly with the Franchise Business Owner.

    Hire, supervise, support, train, coach, develop and retain a dynamic team of Swim Instructors.

    Identify areas of opportunities, develop and execute action plans to address challenges, and improve results in customer retention, revenue, and expense containment through aquatics employees.

    Conduct training, performance reviews, recognition, and individual development of aquatics staff.

    Manage underperforming aquatics associates utilizing Personal Improvement Plans, coaching, and disciplinary tools to improve unsatisfactory performance with the consultation of the Franchise Business Owner and Human Resources Manager where applicable.

    Manage staff schedule of the aquatics team.

    Conduct classes.

    Communicate with parents and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.

    Regular and frequent site visits, if multiple locations

    Ensure classes and training adhere to current company standards.

    Ensure pool locations have a proper inventory of supplies for lessons.

    Ensure that all water and safety standards are maintained at the pools.

    Ensure strong execution of all programs including Barracuda program when applicable.

    Attending appropriate ongoing training locally and with corporate.

    Other responsibilities as assigned by the Franchise Business Owner.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience.

    Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience.

    American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent.

    CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification

    Successful completion of Aquatics Director training through British Swim School Corporate
