The Position: Teach swim lessons to children and adults year-round using our fun, gentle and progressive methods. You will receive extensive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers. Having fun and interacting with swimmers is an important part of the role! There is a focus is on living our values and teaching water safety to benefit the community. Hiring multiple positions.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay $16 an hour, based on experience.

Sign-on bonus if Lifeguard Certified, or LG fee reimbursement.

Your Responsibilities:

Teach engaging and fun swim lessons per our curriculum.

Work shifts of 3–4-hours in pool water.

Work flexible schedule of 8–20 hours a week; (weekdays 3pm-7pm; weekends 9am-1pm); year-round.

Interact with parents and caregivers.

Report to and support the Aquatics Leader.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma, equivalent or in the process of completion.

Enthusiastic and engaging personality.

Comfortable in and around the water.

Complete required aquatics training and testing.

Maintain Lifeguard certification throughout the length of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with children (camp counselors, childcare, teachers, grandparents/parents, etc.).

Swim experience: 1-2 years (High school, college or leisure).

Lifeguarding certification strongly preferred (can be obtained during training).

Ability to work year-round including summer months.

Customer service skills.
