    About the Position

    This Technical Account Specialist will be responsible for executing revenue generating opportunities and building customer relationships with academic research, commercial pharma and biotech accounts in the territory's regional market. Our client is seeking a Technical Account Specialist that is passionate about leading scientific conversations, consultative customer interactions, and working collaboratively with clients to offer valuable solutions to help accelerate their drug discovery research and goals. This role offers significant potential for career advancement and growth within the company.

     

    About the Job Requirements

    • Territory: Houston, TX
    • 2+ years of technical experience with Life Sciences products/services in a commercial sales or customer facing role.
    • Established relationships with key academic research institutions in the Boston area.
    • Ability to practice collaborative value-based selling and drive multi-departmental engagements.
    • Technical background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and/or CRISPR—ability to speak fluently about biological sciences and techniques used in early drug discovery.
    • PASSIONATE about their work and a team player that thrives in a matrixed sales environment.
    • Strong work ethic and motivated by aggressive sales goals.
    • Self-starter that has an entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
    • Highly customer focused with excellent customer relations management skills.
    • BS is required. MS/Ph.D. is preferred.
    • Up to 10% overnight travel.
