    About the Position

    Our client is seeking a Sales Specialist to sell their single cell multi-omics portfolio and grow key business in the Bay Area territory. The Sales Specialist will be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within larger teams to drive extraordinary results for customers using our client’s single cell technologies. The Sales Specialist will develop and craft new business opportunities that promote our client’s Life Science portfolios through collaborations with internal Sales, FAS, Service, and Distribution teams. The Sales Specialist will actively hunt to find new business opportunities, convert competitive business, and develop large key accounts to grow revenue.

    Our client is looking for a Sales Specialist who is passionate about advancing single cell research and would like to join a diverse team of scientists that support and advise our client’s scientific, training, and commercial efforts.     About the Job Requirements

    • 3+ years of technical sales experience selling life science capital equipment and reagents for genomics applications.
    • Experience selling single cell sequencing, transcriptomics, proteogenomics, or other multi-omics areas is highly preferred.
    • Knowledgeable of Multiomics and genomic applications and techniques including gene expression, NGS, sample/library prep, genomic analysis, PCR, qPCR, and dPCR.
    • Experience in Immunology, Oncology, and the use of Flow Cytometry as a sample enrichment technique is a plus.
    • Hunter sales mentality and ability to prospect, close new business with new customers, and land high value contracts.
    • Proven track record of delivering against quarterly and annual sales targets as an individual contributor and for team sales targets.
    • Experienced in sales process management and utilizes professional sales techniques.
    • Strong negotiation skills and experienced in developing and executing strategic and tactical plans for account and territory growth.
    • Works at a high-level within pharma and biotech accounts and connects multiple decision makers and stakeholders with varying degrees of influence and personality types.
    • Established KOL relationships to leverage and experience managing key accounts within the territory including large pharma, biotech, academic research institutions, and genomics cores.
    • Team player that works well collaboratively in a matrixed sales environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Life Science field is required. Advanced degree (Ph.D. or MS) and/or relevant research experience is preferred.
      • Remote-based with up to 30% travel for conferences, seminars, and on-site customer site meetings.
      • Must hold a valid state-issued driver’s license.
