Our Client is a growing biotech company that has developed a proprietary technique for cell separation unavailable anywhere else on the market! They have created multiple robust automated cell separation and sample preparation instruments with high-throughput capabilities that can revolutionize the complete workflow of cell separation. Our Client aims to disrupt the status quo in cellular sample preparation technologies with integrating its novel immuno-separation, active-microfluidics, and fluidics control technologies into next generation cell handling and processing products to help enable advanced cancer diagnosis and cancer treatment.
About the Position:
The person in this role will be responsible for growing instrument/reagent business into biotech, pharmaceutical, and life science research customers throughout the Northeast Territory. This includes: Boston, NYC, and New England states.
- Develop and execute sales plan in key target segments- pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research institutions
- Establish and maintain contact with key accounts/customers/industry thought leaders
- Provide input to Sales & Marketing regarding products, strategies and tools
- Routinely and accurately update Salesforce
- Accurately forecast sales in the target markets and update on a weekly basis
About the Job Requirements:
- BS required, advanced Life Science Degree and/or MBA a plus and a minimum of 2 years of sales experience
- Must have an exceptional understanding of the marketplace – strong understanding of cell analysis systems (Flow Cytometry and/or Microscopy) and one or more of the following: high throughput screening, phenotyping, protein chemistry and antibody screening
- Capital equipment and/or Reagent sales experience (understand selling with budget cycles and finding the funding)
- Rolodex of relationships within biotech, pharma, and academic accounts
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
