    About the Position

    This Business Development Manager will be responsible for identification, targeting, and securing new business for our client’s instruments and assay systems with immuno-oncology (IO) applications. This Business Development Manager will proactively lead new business generation activities and market development initiatives to support all aspects of our client’s IO focused business in North America. This Business Development Manager will leverage their scientific relationships in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and leading Research Institutions to support continued growth of this major sector of our client’s business. This Business Development Manager will work with internal stakeholders, sales, marketing, and technical teams to maximize sales conversion and will offer their market insights to support continuous improvement of our client’s offerings and make a significant contribution to the overall direction of development projects.

     

    About the Job Requirements

    • Territory: North America (Candidates are to be located by a major airport)
    • In depth commercial and technical understanding of IO research, the market landscape, key players, and technology strategies.
    • Experience and understanding of the specific challenges in the IO and cell and gene therapy (CGT) research and development areas.
    • Collaborative and compelling consultative selling skills to engage with customers.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
    • Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in oncology, immunology, or related life science is preferred.
    • Research experience focused on IO or a similar area is preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in a customer facing role within the Biotech or Pharma industries.
    • Experience of attending and exhibiting at industry events and conferences.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% to 50% of time as client needs dictate.
