    About the Position

    The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for strategically driving revenue generating opportunities and building customer relationships with key stakeholders at pharma, biotech, and academic research accounts within the territory's regional market. Our client is seeking a polished and experienced sales professional that is passionate about leading scientific conversations, consultative customer interactions, and working collaboratively with clients to offer valuable solutions to help accelerate their drug discovery research. This is a sophisticated and strategic sales role that offers significant potential for fast-tracked professional advancement opportunities within the company.

    About the Job Requirements

    • Territory: Greater Los Angeles area
    • 3+ years of technical sales experience with products or services in a Life Science area
    • Strong network and client portfolio across large pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cell & gene therapy, academic research institutions, and other market that employ genetic engineering technologies
    • Technical background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, and/or CRISPR—ability to speak fluently about workflows and techniques used in early drug discovery processes
    • Track record of closing large multi-departmental deals and winning business with key commercial accounts
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
    • Strong experience in account management, business development, contracts and supply agreements, customer relations, and strategic and tactical sales
    • Relationship builder and highly customer focused with excellent customer relations management skills
    • Thrives in a fast-paced setting and a team player that works well with others in a matrixed sales environment
    • PASSIONATE about their work and a self-starter that has an entrepreneurial spirit and drive
    • B.S. in Biology required. MS/Ph.D. is preferred
    • Previous research experience in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or other relevant area is a plus
    • Travel up to 10% may be required
