Our Client is a large specialty compounding pharmacy that focuses on medications for rare diseases, hair loss/alopecia, mitochondrial disorders, pediatrics and general dermatology. The company has a robust team of pharmacists, compounding technicians, nurses, and clinicians as well as a team dedicated to 503a operations, regulatory affairs, sales, and accreditations.
About the Position:
The Human Resources Generalist will oversee all HR functions such as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Benefits, Payroll, Performance Management, Safety & Employee Compliance. This is an individual contributor role; the ideal candidate will be resourceful with a passion for HR and has the ability to learn quickly. This person will have the opportunity to implement a variety of new HR processes and programs. This is a hybrid position reporting into the office 1-3 days/week.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on company policies and procedures, benefits, best practices, payroll, and performance management.
- Primary administrator for all benefit types, including health insurance and retirement (401k).
- Manages the payroll process for hourly and salaried employees.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates all hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Conduct employee onboarding and organize training & development initiatives.
- Assists with performance reviews and handles entire termination process.
- Process unemployment claims; provide guidance to FMLA and other leave cases.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, regarding complex and/or sensitive matters.
- Will handle all disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations.
- Ensure organized and compliant record keeping using company systems and tools.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; stays up to date on relevant changes to HR laws.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, communications, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in human resources, generalist experience preferred
- Previous experience in ADP or a similar HRIS system strongly preferred.
- Previous experience processing payroll, managing employee benefits & 401k plans.
