    About the Position

    This Account Executive will be responsible for strategically driving revenue growth opportunities, market development activities, and cultivating customer relationships with the key industry opinion leaders. This Account Executive will execute the critical business functions of identifying, developing, and growing the company’s key customer base – Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Academic Research Institutions in territory’s the regional market. This Account Executive will lead scientific conversations, consultative customer interactions, and work collaboratively with clients to offer valuable tools to help accelerate their drug discovery research. Our client is seeking an energetic and skilled sales professional with a passion to make an impact at an exciting startup company that is dedicated to creating breakthrough scientific innovations.


    About the Job Requirements

    • Territory: Canada (majority of business is in the British Columbia and Quebec provinces)
    • Candidates will be located in Toronto
    • 5+ years of technical sales experience selling capital equipment in the life sciences area
    • Established network and client portfolio across large pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic research, CGT, and other relevant market segments
    • Strong experience in account management, new business development, contracts and supply agreements, customer relations, and strategic and tactile sales
    • Able to speak fluently about the biological sciences and techniques used for assay development and drug discovery research
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
    • Works well in a team sales environment
    • Technical degree in molecular biology, cell biology, or related scientific field. BS is required, and MS or PhD is preferred
    • Previous experience working as a Scientist or Researcher is preferred
    • Home-office based with up to 50% travel within the assigned territory
