    Job Description

    Are you seeking an opportunity that offers growth and advancement? Broadridge is hiring! We're seeking an experienced Ontologist/Data Modeler to work with Broadridge's Product and Technology teams. You will have the opportunity to design and implement product and domain-specific ontologies that semantically enrich Broadridge's core knowledge models.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Fluently translate natural language and business jargon into precise, complex knowledge representations
    • Synthesize and arbitrate disparate views of a knowledge domain
    • You will design and deploy ontologies, taxonomies, models and other structures to identify and fill knowledge gaps in the representation of firm assets, products, services, relations, and processes
    • Govern multiple large-scale enterprise business ontologies
    • Work with developers to design and implement technology solutions
    • You will execute Enterprise Data Governance program
    • Integrate unstructured, semi-structured, and well-structured data
    • You will monitor and apply industry standardization initiatives

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of experience in data governance, ontology and taxonomy development, and content classification
    • Finance industry experience required
    • Experience presenting complex topics in a concise way to Executive Management
    • Knowledge of capital markets, post-trade processing and wealth management is strongly preferred
    • BA or BS in Library Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems or related field

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Philosophy, Linguistics, Library Science or related field
    • Knowledge of RDF/OWL and other ontology languages,
    • Experience with triple stores, graphs, document stores and other No-SQL databases
    • Proficiency in data analysis, semantic modeling, knowledge and ontology engineering
    • Strong logical and conceptual reasoning, strong attention to detail
    • Master's Degree strongly preferred
