    Job Description

    On a day to day basis, here are some of the tasks the candidate can expect to undertake:

    • Oversee the development and implementation of multiple application systems.
    • Define resource requirements and allocations, monitor and improve quality, and ensure 'best practice' development techniques.
    • Lead identification of risks and propose and implement mitigation plans.
    • Leads recruitment efforts and manage and develop teams to maximize their collective contributions.
    • Motivate staff to maximize their contributions and encourage professional growth.
    • Manage multiple development groups that contribute to the achievement of Application Development objectives.

    We need someone who:

    • Is comfortable in the details and delivery of highly complex, scalable and robust solutions all the way to high level strategy, planning and communication to senior stakeholders
    • Will bring in best in class processes and drive improvements in our SDLC process are the team
    • Will be the technical advocate and owner to define the technology road map for the team
    • Is an excellent communicator , both written and verbal, who can challenge and drive change
    • Proposes innovation and creativity in the delivery of all our solutions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.  Master’s degree a plus
    • Prior Hands-on development experience in UI and backend technologies like Angular, React, Java, Spring Boot, SQL and No-SQL databases
    • Experience working with User experience designers and agencies
    • Extensive experience in modern user interfaces and mobile first platforms
    • Experience building mobile applications
    • Knowledge and experience of unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, appropriate documentation,
    • Experience in the full development lifecycle (including both Agile and Waterfall) and DevOps
    • Front office and/or financial services knowledge especially in Wealth Management
    • Experience of developing software in a regulated business environment
    • Experience working and delivering across a multi-location and global team
    • Experience migrating from legacy technologies
    • Experience working with strategic vendors
    • Experience with cloud based applications and AWS
