ARCHAEOLOGICAL LAB TECHNICIAN

Brockington and Associates is seeking an entry level, temporary archaeological lab technician based in our Mt. Pleasant, SC office. The work requires an individual with a bachelor's degree in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field, and a minimum of field school or the equivalent lab or field experience.

Primary job responsibilities include assisting in the processing of archaeological collections by washing artifacts, rough sorting, and basic cataloging under the direction of the Lab Supervisor. The successful applicant will also assist with preparing archaeological collections and related archival materials for long-term curation, maintaining/verifying project documentation, and data entry. Other related duties may be assigned. Knowledge of Access databases a plus. 

This is a full-time position. Work schedule will include up to 40-hour weeks. No overtime is expected.

Base wages are $13 to $15 per hour. Wages for work on Federal projects may be higher, depending on each project's assigned wage determination.
