    We are a well-established local service business looking for a responsible HR Generalist to perform a variety of HR and office-related tasks. Our company has been around since 1995, and has experienced explosive growth over the last 10 years in the Springfield area. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working individual with a “people-first” mentality that is able to undertake a variety of HR and office-related tasks.

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Benefits Administration including:
      • Enrollment/Removal/Audits of all Benefits programs (Health/Ancillary/401(k))
      • Assists employees with benefits claim issues, plan change and life status changes.
      • Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
      • Responds to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
    • Employee Administration: Maintaining employee database, processing new hires, terminations and status/pay changes.
    • Process WOTC forms.
    • HR Resources: policy review, updates and recommendations, serve as HR representative
    • FMLA/OSHA reporting/compliance
    • Office Support
      • Act as a point of contact for staff and visitors
      • Answer and direct phone calls
      • Work with Recruitment Manager in the hiring/onboarding process.
      • Provide general support to clients, managers, applicants and employees.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • General HR & customer service experience/education helpful but not required
    • Knowledge of general office equipment, systems and procedures
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (specifically Word & Excel)
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Excellent attendance
    • Must pass a Criminal Background Check
