    • Position/Title: Revenue Cycle Training & Optimization Specialist
    • Location: Greenwich, CT
    • Schedule: Mon – Fri / 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (no weekends, holidays)
    • Salary: $65,000 - $80,000+ (annually) + Excellent Benefits Package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, tuition reimbursement, PTO, Vacation, etc)

    IDEAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

    • 1-3 years of professionally related experience in a Healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Registration and healthcare training experience using industry-accepted software. eCW, MEDITECH, Epic experience a plus.
    • Understanding of medical office operations, patient access processes, and medical terminology.
    • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to health care operations and their impact on practice operations.
    • Ability to work, plan, research, and conduct projects with minimal supervision.
    • Proficiency in Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and staff training skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs, and meet required timelines.
    • Uses, protects, and discloses patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
    • Committed to on-going professional development as evidenced by membership and continuing education in HFMA, or other healthcare accounting / finance professional organizations.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Responsible for the training , onboarding , and process improvement/efficiency of our revenue cycle and clinical department staff on operational processes that impact revenue cycle and patient financial experience.
    • Training can include, but not limited to, tools supporting processes that impact the revenue cycle like eligibility/insurance verification, cost estimator, registration quality assurance (RQA), authorization/referral, billing/follow up/denials/variance work queues, customer service/collections, cash posting and credits.
    • Training to also include operational processes impacting revenue cycle like insurance payer/plan, prior balance collections, point-of-service cash collections, cash controls, regulatory (state and federal) and policy (internal and payer) guidelines.
    • Training specialists will be expected to work collaboratively with Revenue Cycle/Operations staff to ensure provision of work products that meet quality and quantity expectations established by the organization.
    • Beautiful business office environment, that occasionally will go to the other Lower Fairfield County, CT medical office locations to train staff in one of our outpatients, inpatient and ambulatory clinic settings.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintains role-based training content, instructional materials, and workflow/operational feedback for new and existing training, including meeting deliverable dates, independently or with team members.
    • Responsible for development, delivery, and optimization of training materials such as lesson plans, handouts and slide presentations as needed.
    • Hosts in-person and virtual training sessions, as well as individualized support to learners as needed/requested.
    • Prepares for training sessions, set up training lessons, arrange training room and environment and return training room to original state after training sessions.
    • Follow-up with staff to offer post training support through response to parking lot questions, elbow support as needed and classroom performance reports.
    • Conduct routine reviews to identify non-adherence to process, identify opportunities for process improvement or re-education to improve overall department performance.
    • Performs regular audits to identify areas of opportunity and re-education opportunities.
    • Monitor Q/A reports and provide feedback/training as needed to applicable departments.
    • Administers end-user assessments and surveys and analyzes results to continually improve training.
    • Other duties in support of Revenue Cycle operations, as assigned by manager
    • Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families and support for the mission, values, and goals of the organization through behaviors that are consistent with the standards of our healthcare system.

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma required.
    • Associate degree from accredited College or University a plus, but not required.
