    ABOUT BROOKLINE:

    Brookline Media is a digital media company that leverages a proprietary combination of operational, data, and technology expertise to build and grow its portfolio of digital media properties in the automotive and military markets. Brookline Media is comprised of The Drive, Task & Purpose, The War Zone, MilSpouseFest and Car Bibles. The organization is backed by North Equity, a leading venture equity firm, and is part of a portfolio that currently focuses on enthusiasts in the automotive, home, military, and other specialty verticals. This role will primarily responsible for the military portfolio including but not limited to Task & Purpose, The War Zone, Popular Science and MilSpouseFest.

    THE ROLE:

    Brookline is seeking a Digital Account Executive to identify, nurture and grow relationships with brands, marketers, agencies and advertisers interested in reaching and engaging with the US Military, Veteran and Military Spouse communities. The Digital Account Executive will employ a consultative approach to secure new clients, grow revenue for the company and provide clients with a first-class experience. This role will also build and maintain relationships with clients while directing them through the full sales process and ultimately leverage Brookline’s unique audiences, market position and digital products to make a meaningful impact on the client’s goals and KPIs.

    In this role you will personally handle and develop an account list as well as an assigned quarterly revenue goal and bi-weekly activity goals. It is expected from the start that you will be able to develop and execute your sales plan assignments and accomplish your goals, resolve account issues and ensure the sales processes are effectively implemented.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Manage the sales cycle from start to finish – prospect, identify contacts, negotiate and secure sales of digital advertising as well as sponsored and branded content
    • Aggressively develop and manage a pipeline of deals to meet and exceed sales targets
    • Be creative in generating new ideas and competitive solutions for potential and existing clients
    • Work with leadership to provide insights to help further develop strategic go-to-market programs for Brookline’s clients and prospects
    • Develop and maintain a strong rapport with clients and agencies
    • Serve as an ambassador for the Brookline brands and clearly articulate our value in market
    • Educate brands and agencies on the value of the military audience and specifically the Task & Purpose, The War Zone and MilSpouseFest audiences
    • Create and present high-quality proposals with excellence both digitally and/or in person

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3-5 years experience selling integrated digital advertising and branded content for a digital media company
      • Bonus: Knows how to creatively sell, not just CPM and impressions
    • Experience selling across platforms (email, website, content, social, events, etc.)
    • Proactive, energetic attitude and a desire to work in a results-oriented environment
    • Tenacious seller that doesn’t take “no” for an answer and can independently develop necessary materials to close new business
    • Team player with proven ability to maintain detailed sales records and CRM responsibilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present over the phone and virtually
    • Understands the value and challenge of being a member of a growth-stage brand and/or startup
    • Existing direct relationships with ad agencies, relevant brands and/or media buyers
    • Bachelors degree is a plus
