DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Replace broken or worn-out bearings
• Replace bad conveyor shafts, sprockets, chains, bolts
• Capable of oiling and greasing all machinery
• Knows how to Lace Bolts, change and/or check oil levels in all types of gearboxes
• Be capable of changing or repairing pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders or actuators
• Be capable of wiring/charging single-phase, 3-phase motors
• Capable of replacing all types of solenoid valves
• Capable of replacing simple sensors such as photo eyes, LIMH switches, flow switches, light switches, light bulbs, and fluorescent lamps
• Capable of using an ammeter or a volt-ohm meter for minor electrical troubleshooting
• Capable of rebuilding cylinders, linear actuators, butler l/v valves, mechanical seals, solenoid valves
• Capable of following written & oral instructions
• Capable of achieving Osha requirements
• Capable of filling out parts requisitions
• Capable of recording work performed
• Capable of all types of pm work & associated record reporting
• Perform work in a neat and workmanlike order: Pick up after yourself
• Fill out requisition orders for parts, accurate path gathering
• Use & select the proper tool for ENC job
• Learn changeover & mechanic operation

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:

• Familiar with all types of American metric fasteners, nuts, bolts, pipe thread
• Familiar with power tools such as grinders, portaband, drill motors, hydraulic press, Skilsaw, pipe threader, soldering iron, sockets, wrenches, hydraulic jacks, claw hoists, grease guns, Chen breakers, taps, drills, gear pullers, bearing pullers, hack saws, punches, chisels, reamers, veneer or calipers, force gauges, sealer gauges, etc.
• Working Knowledge of troubleshooting pneumatic & hydraulic systems & components
• General schematic & blueprint reading skills
• Familiar with lock-out tag-out procedures
• Familiar with Fire Safety
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Welding skills are a MAJOR PLUS
• Base electrical shooting skills are a PLUS
• Working knowledge of Pumps, air compressors, packaging equipment such as – fillers, tanks, pumps, cappers, pasteurizers, warmers or coding tunnels, case codes de-palletizers, palletizers, and rotary stretch wrappers
