    Job Description

     

    SUMMARY

     

    The Business Development Executive utilizes a consultative sales approach to educate plaintiff law firms on our co-counsel business model. They are also accountable for selling our unique marketing and case acquisition campaigns to those plaintiff law firms.

    ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

     

    • Identify leads through various methods, including but not limited to internet research, existing client referrals, contacts from previous jobs, connections made at conferences, or internal lead generation efforts.

    • Educate potential new clients on BP products and services and/or educate existing clients on new offerings

    or opportunities to renew existing campaigns

    • Accurately report on all sales activity and accurately create relevant selling opportunities in BP’s Salesforce

    • Utilize closing skills to obtain signed client agreements to engage in BP Signed Retainer Campaigns and facilitate up-front payment for campaigns via wire transfer or check

    • Facilitate calls between clients and Supporting Functional teams such as Account Management, Marketing,

    or Intake as required

    • Facilitate collection of unpaid monies due to campaign overages or overdue installments

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

     

    • Requires a minimum of 2 years outside sales experience, with one year preferred in the legal industry. While experience in the legal field is preferred, demonstrated business acumen and proven results for 3+ years is acceptable work experience, especially from other areas such as Advertising Sales, Software Sales, or Medical Sales.

    • Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required.

    • Specific legal licensing is helpful but not required.

     

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

     

    • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, Salesforce. Must also have good writing skills and good phone skills. Must have excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

    • Knowledge of the consultative sales process steps (prospecting, discovery, needs analysis, feature/ benefit

    alignment, proposal/pitch, and closing techniques) is critical. Knowledge of the legal field and mass torts is preferable but not necessarily essential for this role.

    • This job requires excellent overall communication skills (written, phone, and in-person). This role must be

    able to adapt and deal with different personality types while still maintaining a beneficial outcome for both the client and BP.
