    RN-Atrium RCU New Grad Critical Care Internship FT 7:00pm-7:30am (42846) - Fort Lauderdale, FL  Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale has been a respected leader in healthcare since its founding in 1938. As Broward Health's flagship hospital, Broward Health Medical Center offers 716 beds and is home to virtually every medical specialty, including cardiac care, maternity, neonatology, pediatrics and comprehensive stroke care. Additional services include cancer care, kidney and lung transplant, orthopaedics, palliative care, robotics, sickle cell, surgical weight loss, a Level I trauma center and an on-site fitness center.   Broward Health Medical Center is a 716-bed, state-of-the-art Level I Trauma Center and Ft. Lauderdale’s largest healthcare facility.Full Time Eligible 72 Hours per pay period. Varied nights 7:00pm-7:30am.  Weekends required. Completion of a nursing program from an accredited school of Nursing.  Current State of Florida Registered Nurse license required.  Current BLS and ACLS cards from American Heart Association required.    Computer skills necessary, excellent communication teamwork and customer service skills a must.  The professional registered nurse is accountable to plan, coordinate, provide, intervene and evaluate the care of assigned patients based upon the treatment plan, nursing standards, nurse practice act and individual patient needs. Each professional registered nurse participates with the inter-disciplinary team to establish an individualized plan of care for each patient. The RN Critical Care Internship at Broward Health Medical Center is for new graduate nurses. The 30 week program provides the new graduate with a knowledge base, skill set and structured support needed to transition to competence in the critical care areas.  The Internship program supplements the traditional hospital and unit orientations. During the program, the RN will receive a staff nurse salary with full-time benefits. The program requires a 3-year commitment.PLEASE NOTE: RCU CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMMIT TO WORKING IN THE RCU FOR 1 YEAR AFTER COMPLETION OF ORIENTATION.
