    The Administrative PROGRAM ASSOCIATE role is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced administrative professional to provide reliable, consistent, and proactive support to the Center for Legal Education Excellence (“the Center”) as a valued member of the Research Programs department. The position plays a key role in: a) providing administrative support to the Center directors; b) coordinating with the strategic engagement team to plan and prepare for the annual AccessLex Legal Education Research Symposium; and c) supporting the effective management of external relationships with key constituents of the Center.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

     

    • Draft and coordinate supporting materials related to the Company’s 2025 strategic plan objectives, including letters, contact lists, and social media content (in coordination with the Strategic Engagement team).
    • Lead planning and coordination for the Company’s annual Legal Education Research Symposium and other meetings, programs and events for the Center, including coordinating arrangements for participants, handling logistics and promotion (in collaboration with the Strategic Engagement team), and preparing and disseminating materials.
    • Coordinate the Company’s sponsorship of external events, including managing timelines, sponsorship agreements and requirements, and invoices and payment.
    • Provide administrative support for the Center directors including, but not limited to, coordinating travel and meetings, managing check request and contract approval processes, and maintaining organized files and records.
    • On occasion, assist research staff with data entry and data quality checks to support ongoing success of the Company’s data tools.
    • Assist with Center social events (serving as standing chair of the social events committee).
    • Provide backup front desk coverage, as needed, including, but not limited to answering phones, accepting deliveries and handling mail.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS) – To succeed in the Administrative PROGRAM ASSOCIATE position, candidates should possess the following KSAs:

    • REQUIRED

    Commitment to joining a powerfully influential nonprofit, eagerness to learn about legal education, and dedication to the organization’s mission of empowering the next generation of lawyers

    Extensive administrative support experience

    At least one year of event management experience

    Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms

    Not-for-profit or legal experience is a plus

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

    Ability to manage multiple projects at a time

    Ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet deadlines consistently

    Strong organizational and administrative skills a must

    Strong attention to detail

    Adept at establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams

    Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    • PREFERRED

    Public speaking and presentation skills

    Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms

    Not-for-profit or legal experience a plus

    • BACKGROUND EXPERIENCES. The following are required unless otherwise noted:

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    • Minimum 2-4 years of relevant administrative support experience

    • Self-starter and self-reliant but also works well in a team setting

    • Experience establishing organizational systems to improve efficiency
