Certilytics is currently looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst to fill a new position. The Data Analyst will work on the development of analytics used in the support of product design, product maintenance and enhancements, and delivery of analytic results to internal and external customers. The work location is optional, ideally Louisville, KY based, however open to other locations for a remote possibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
- Participates in Product Design meetings and assists with data requirements and business requirements
- Manipulate and analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources using a variety of tools and data analysis techniques
- Assist with the development of reports and projects, including documenting methodology, designing reporting, and making recommendations based upon data analysis
- Identifies complex healthcare data problems or issues, researches solutions, and implements steps to achieve higher level of efficiency for Certilytics analytics and product offerings
- Provides analytical support to internal teams including the Clinical, Data Logistics, and Operational Teams
- Conduct research and perform root cause analysis as part of responsibility for analytics projects
- Perform data analysis, data cleansing, and data validation as part of product design and testing
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS/BA in health care administration, health informatics, mathematics, statistics, business or similar degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Senior level (esperience 5 or greater years - Junior level (experience 1 - 4 years) working as a data analyst, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Experience with medical and pharmacy claims data is a plus; a minimum of 1 or greater years depending in the position level 3-year experience working with healthcare data is strongly preferred
- Experience with Managed Care Data, PBM’s, and Provider Data a plus
- Experience with building reports, analyzing results, and communicating findings
- Extract data using SQL, modifying extracts and integrating data when necessary
- Must be able to write complex SQL code and generate queries/reports without guidance, integrating data when necessary between disparate data sources
- Experience with use of Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint is required
- Experience with data analysis and reporting is required
- Understanding of data structure/integration and relational database design.
- Experience working with integration of multiple data sources from databases/data warehouses
- Understanding of key managed care concepts and terms including risk adjustment, pmpm, CPT, ICD9/10 coding, HCPCS, DRG, etc…
- Ability to collaborate with partners and drive analytic projects end to end
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proven team player with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Exhibits creative thinking skills.
