    Salary Range: $40k-$47k

    Red Thread PR is seeking a PR Account Coordinator to join our growing team. We are looking for an independent, self-starter who has a passion for media relations and an eye for detail.

    This position is responsible for supporting a broad range of client accounts, executing assignments that support strategic communications plans, media relations outreach, content development across owned, shared and earned channels, as well as trend research, news monitoring and reporting. It requires collaboration within the Red Thread PR team, time management skills, active participation in meetings, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a knack for creating headlining-making news.

    • Execute against clients’ plans and supporting account teams in exceeding clients’ goals
    • Support 5-7 diverse clients at a time, executing public relations tactics across paid, earned, shared and owned channels, as well as reporting and measurement.
    • Maintain internal status and workflow documents as they relate to all facets of a project so timelines are met and workflow is intuitive for all team members
    • Take detailed and organized notes and provide meeting recaps
    • Respond proactively to inbound client requests
    • Monitor the media for relevant industry and client news with the ability to newsjack/identify immediate pitch opportunities for clients
    • Build media and Influencer lists, editorial calendars, outreach/pitch calendars
    • Contribute creative thinking to campaign concepts and pitch topics
    • Draft press materials, blog content, whitepapers and other types of written content, often rooted in complex subject matters
    • Monitor the media for client mentions, clip press coverage, analyze press coverage, support qualitative and quantitative reporting
    • Support pitch development and media outreach
    • Support strategic planning and tactical planning initiatives
    • Collaborate with social media strategists to ensure accuracy
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 4-year degree with concentration in PR, Journalism, Communication or English
    • 1 year professional agency experience and/or relevant agency internships
    • News junkie; a passion for reading news, following newsmakers, and connecting social and economic news/trends to client issues
    • Time management skills, a self-organizer who remains focused and efficient even when busy, steadfast attention to detail
    • Strong writing skills and writing samples; must take timed written test
    • Understanding of both traditional and non-traditional PR tactics across PESO channels
    • Knowledge of media relations and social media tactics and executional processes

    Physical Requirements: ( & Working Conditions):

    • Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
    • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
    • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less including use of computers.
