    Our Seattle based, property management investment firm is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. This is a great chance to join a company with a lot of growth opportunities that believes in work life balance and is lead by a humble management team!

    The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:

    • Manage a Property Accounting team in upholding the integrity of all financials.
    • Drive the month-end close and year-end close process including the review of financial statement packages to ensure accuracy and consistency of report contents.
    • Review presentation of fixed assets for appropriate depreciation/amortization.
    • Develop and facilitate training in real estate specific accounting processes, variance analysis review, budget review, operating expense, reconciliation review, and accounting software.
    • Provide leadership and guidance in the day-to-day operations and long-term goals of the accounting team.
    • Manage and facilitate CAM reconciliation process with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Liaise, coordinate, and prepare documentation as needed for the FYE financial audit.
    • Ensure proper recording of purchased and sold properties as well as loan refinancing.
    • Work in collaboration with the property management team and assigned accountant to successfully transition properties in or out of the portfolio.
    • Monitor accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls are maintained, accounting principles are followed, and financial data is valid and reliable.

    Requirements of the Accounting Manager include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance desired.
    • 8+ years’ experience in progressively responsible accounting position(s); 5+ years of management experience
    • Prior experience in Yardi Voyager or similar accounting system highly preferred.
    • General understanding of real estate documents including leases, property management agreements, purchase, and sale agreements, etc

    Salary: $98K - $147K per year DOE
