    Our Eastside construction client is looking for a responsible Payroll Administrator who is familiar with Union payroll to join their team due to a retirement. The Payroll Administrator will perform all activities associated with paying the organization’s employees, administering benefits, and making union and regulatory filings, within a construction environment. Our construction client is known for being best in class with very low turnover and as a company that cares about its team; including providing a GREAT benefits package.

    Responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator include:

    • Perform multi-state weekly time collection and payroll processing activities including issuing and distributing paychecks, managing direct deposits, benefits withholding, payroll deductions, garnishments and levies, HSA and 401K accounts, federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns, and union reporting.
    • Set up & administer union payroll contracts
    • Perform monthly tax and benefit reconciliations/audits.
    • Participate in the month-end financial closing process.
    • Prepare and issue annual W-2s and other tax forms in accordance with IRS regulations.
    • Participate in compliance reporting and audits.

    Minimum Qualifications of the Payroll Administrator :

    • 5+ years of payroll and human resources experience in a construction environment
    • Payroll and/or HR certification a plus.
    • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
