Our Seattle based non-profit client is looking for an independent, detailed Payroll Specialist to their team on a hybrid basis. This position does require a covid vaccination.
The duties of the Payroll Specialist Include:
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing methods utilizing best practices to ensure legal compliance and conformity with policies.
- Consult with CFO and Human Resources on improving our pay processes.
- Process all bi-weekly payroll for salaried, hourly and union-represented labor.
- Ensure the operations, backup and maintenance of all payroll and timekeeping software, currently UKG Workforce Management.
- Perform reconciliations of payroll and benefit-related accounts.
- Prepare payables for payroll-related vendors such as benefit and union dues.
- Ensure Collective Bargaining Agreements are followed in regard to union payroll and benefit processing.
- Responsible for the accurate preparation of unemployment information and insure the timely reporting of this information to a third party administrator.
- Prepare and file annual documents such as W2’s and 1094/1095 forms.
- Provide payroll reports to Senior Staff and Supervisors.
Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist include:
- 3+ years demonstrated proficiency at processing payroll of similar or greater-sized
- Experience with payroll software and reporting (UKG strongly preferred).
- Experience with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV strongly desired.
This is a full-time benefitted position (medical, dental, LTD, STD, Life insurance, paid leave, 403b discretionary match. Pay range is $27.08 - $37.92/hour with a midpoint of $32.50/hour.
