Job Description

The Software Engineer II will use a variety of technologies, including but not limited to; Ruby on Rails, Javascript, CSS, HTML, Postgresql, Redis, Java, Swift and MYSQL, to complete projects as assigned by the President of throtl and CTO of throtl. The primary function of the software engineer II will be to design and develop web applications to support the business functions of throtl’s ecommerce store.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Executes software development projects. Tests, documents and deploys software in support of various business processes. Maintains existing interfaces to data stores including web-based application interfaces. Assists in researching and evaluating software tools to support emerging business needs. Completes software and process documentation. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software including Ruby on Rails, Javascript and other languages. Provides assistance and routine consultation to users in the development of operating systems and software. Executes daily and weekly tasks as required by the system and company. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the team Provide valuable project status updates to management. Other duties may be assigned Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Computer Science, IT, or related field from an accredited college or university; or 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
