    Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Marketing Data Assistant in our Marketing department, reporting directly to the Marketing Technology Manager.

    The position can reside in the Dallas, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio or Washington, DC office and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all data in the firm’s client relationship management (CRM) database, InterAction.

    THE HOURS FOR THE POSITION IF LOCATED IN NEW YORK, PHILADELPHIA OR WASHINGTON, DC WILL BE 10:00AM TO 6:30PM ET. THE HOURS FOR THE POSITION IF LOCATED IN DALLAS, HOUSTON OR SAN ANTONIO WILL BE 9:00 A.M TO 5:30 P.M. CT.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

    • Conduct Internet research to find missing pieces of information and to verify data. Research contacts and companies via Internet to update profile information such as business addresses, email, job title, etc.
    • Manage and complete incoming data change tickets requiring updates to existing contacts and companies
    • Conduct ongoing database cleanup and maintenance regarding bounced contacts and merging duplicates
    • Complete, with supervision, special projects to improve the data integrity of specific marketing lists and contact types, including data imports, data cleansing and reporting
    • Ensure ongoing data and list quality through analysis, validation to normalization standards and edits where required
    • Support the activities sponsored by the Marketing Managers and Business Developers as the point person for all mailings and list generation (i.e. events, alerts and announcements)
    • Work closely with Marketing Technology and Business Development Managers to identify appropriate analytics and reporting for regular follow-up
    • Help develop, implement and promote CRM best practices
    • Accept and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):

    • Bachelor’s degree required, or in place of a degree, 2+ years of demonstrated relevant experience
    • Law firm or professional services experience is a plus
    • Possesses a strong customer focus and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
    • InterAction or other CRM experience is a plus
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels within and outside of the firm
    • Ability to work independently and with colleagues located in different offices
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with high degree of accuracy
    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, coupled with the ability to work concurrently on a variety of projects and requests, providing a solutions-oriented approach to ensure user satisfaction

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • 5+ years of relevant experience as an agency or in-house advertising and/or marketing art director
    • Strong digital portfolio of work that features not only stellar design, but big, conceptual thinking. Candidates without a portfolio will not be considered.
    • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, communications or related field. Certificate from an advertising/creative portfolio school is a bonus but not mandatory.
    • Experience designing and concepting for all facets of marketing communication including digital, social, television, content, radio, print, activations, etc.
    • Innately curious: stays current on trends, culture, and current events, and brings inspiring external insight into the work
    • Thoughtful communicator and seasoned presenter, to both internal teams and client
    • Advanced experience with the full Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and PowerPoint
    • Proven ability to multitask and work autonomously and with agility
    • Has a self-starting, can-do, positive attitude
    • Some supervisory experience preferred

     

     

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Delivers ideas and creative executions of the highest quality for a wide variety of clients, new business pitches and internal projects
    • Oversees the concepting, presenting, and selling through of creative for both internal and external audiences
    • Collaborates and builds relationships with both the creative team and other internal teams such as production, media, PR, etc.
    • Plays a leading role in managing the creative side of assigned accounts, taking responsibility for campaigns and brand communications
    • Collaborates with account management personnel in a timely manner to ensure effective presentation of work
    • Handles design, type, photography, layout, color, shape, and the overall visual aesthetics under the guidance of senior creative team
    • Develops an understanding of key audiences to recommend strategic and creative solutions to the team
    • Oversees TV/content/video pre-, during- and postproduction
    • Ensures that the creative output always pays off the creative brief
    • Effectively applies feedback from ACDs, CDs and clients to creative executions
    • Supports ACDs and CDs with various projects & mentors junior creatives to create smart and surprising creative solutions to solve our client's marketing challenges
    • Ensures that the work always meets internal and client deadlines
    • Acts as a partner to clients and ensure business growth and marketing goals are achieved
