  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for an experienced accounts receivable/GL accountant to join our team. The person will manage and own the entire billing and collection function and assist the accounting team with month-end close, manage tax payments for various entities and other ad hoc projects as needed. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Generate, send out invoices quarterly and maintain up-to-date billing systems.
    • Manage lockbox for all the subsidiaries and ensure the accuracy of the transfers and balances.
    • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments, monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and process adjustments, if any
    • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
    • Manage billing inbox regularly to answer customers’ inquiries timely.
    • Perform AR account reconciliation, bank reconciliation and DSO analysis monthly.
    • Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries, account rec and intercompany transaction.
    • Manage the master tax calendar to ensure varies taxes (i.e. sales and use tax for different states, franchise taxes, property taxes and etc.) are paid timely to avoid any penalties and/or interests.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of financial processes, accounting policies, systems, controls, and work streams.

    Required Skills

    • Great communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with Netsuite is required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, word and etc.)
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail required
    • Experience working in start-up is preferred

     

     

     

     

    Required Experience

    • BS/BA 4-year degree in accounting preferred
    • 3-4 years of billing/collection, G/L experience
