    Bryant Consultants Inc. (BCI), is looking for a highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2023. This is an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment on projects that impact our communities in an environment committed to technical quality and growth. We are looking for someone with the ability to provide technical and field support on complex projects who has experience with, soil and rock classification, slope stability analysis, earth retention systems, shallow and deep foundation design, soil improvement techniques, and pavement design is a plus.

    What You Will Be Doing

    Under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer, you will conduct field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision. Candidate must be able to complete tasks and small projects with guidance and interaction from senior technical staff. Performs field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and analysis. Candidate must be able to assist with preparing reports and calculations on complex projects for review. Ability to positively interact with peers and client representatives required.

    Experience:

    Pursuing Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study. Knowledge in geotechnical engineering and foundation design courses preferred;

    Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas;

    Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

    Self-directed and able to work without supervision; and

    Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.

    Maintains positive internal and external customer service relationships; and

    Prepared all industry related report drafts with a degree of timeliness and accuracy sufficient to meet approval by the Engineer or Architect of record.
