Information Technology Intern Bryce Corporation 28 reviews - Memphis, TN 38118 Full-time, Part-time, Internship Bryce seeks to fill a part-time or full-time Information Technology intern position in 2018 to learn, evaluate, and implement the Microsoft Teams Software. Currently, all employees use a personal drive storage location to manage documents for a project, customer, or vendor. Similarly, personal mailboxes are used to communicate with other employees, customers, and vendors. Subsequently, this can create silos of information that are both inaccessible to others and become unavailable when an employee transitions out of a role. Microsoft Teams (or compatible software) has the capability of changing this consequential process. The intern will learn to understand the Microsoft Teams software, determine what is required to install and operate the software, and work with an assigned group to train other employees how to use the software. As part of the process, the intern will evaluate and periodically report on the use and suitability of the software. The goal is to keep the Companys standard work within this software, and become more accessible to the employees and management at Bryce. The position will work with one assigned department and the Information Technology Department, reporting through the Sr. Director of Information Technology. Responsibilities include: * Manage the list of tasks assigned for evaluation, installation, and implementation * Communicate status of project at a predetermined frequency * Develop meaningful, sustainable documentation for new and existing processes that can be understood with enough detail to follow and complete a task correctly and efficiently * Technical documents include standard operating procedures (SOP) and work instructions (WI) * Identify more efficient methods by which a task can be completed * Develop short, web-based video tutorials on how to use software * Attend meetings as necessary Compensation and Academic Credit: The position will be scheduled for 20-40 hours per week, depending on the students availability. This internship is estimated to yield over 200 total hours. No other benefits will be available. This is a paid position with pay relative to other paid internships within the Company. Students should pursue credit within established major or as an elective.
