    The Role

    Our client is a specialty software-as-a-service (SaaS) practice of a financial firm that provides valuable real-time data and underwriting decision support tools, primarily to health and life insurers. With deep understanding and expertise in the life and health insurance markets, they offer an innovative suite of products to interpret and deliver electronic medical data (such as prescription histories, diagnoses, treatment data, etc.) to help clients make effective underwriting and risk management decisions. They have averaged 30% annual sales growth over the last several years.

    Responsibilities and Expectations

    The Sales Development Associate is a vital part to the company's innovative and collaborative Sales and Marketing team. Working with the Director of Sales and the Account Executives, the Sales Development Associate will develop client and prospect relationships that turn into sales opportunities. This role position is instrumental in building our sales pipeline, by uncovering potential leads and developing qualified opportunities. This will include initiating contact with people at all levels within an organization, including C-suite executives.

    The right person for our team has 3 or more years of professional experience which demonstrate an excellent work ethic, as well as a natural drive to learn and exceed expectations.

    • Develop account profiles and business opportunities through outbound activity
    • Build client relationships through research, regular calls and emails, setting sales appointments / meetings, and attending conferences
    • Qualify leads, map out all possible contacts in a market or company
    • Conduct outbound opportunity development as part of marketing campaigns
    • Add and maintain information in Salesforce
    • Achieve (and exceed) monthly quotas of qualified opportunities
    • Become an expert on the entire Milliman IntelliScript suite of product solutions, as well as industry trends, and competitive dynamics
    • Engage with other Milliman IntelliScript business units such as marketing, IT, operations and legal

    Professional Qualifications

    • Completed Bachelor’s degree in any major
    • 3 or more years of sales-related experience within financial services or FINRA
    • Internal wholesalers with Series 7 or 63 licenses are preferred
    • Solid skills in all MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Preferred (Not Required)
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, math, computer science, or economics
    • Previous experience with Salesforce and WebEx


    Location

    • Located downtown Chicago 
    • The position will require 40% travel
