Senior Accountant

We are partnered with a publicly traded, decentralized manufacturing company and seeking a talented & motivated Senior Accountant to join the team. The position has responsibilities in monthly close, SEC reporting, accounting matters at both Corporate and business units and statutory reporting. This position allows for excellent exposure and growth within the organization and reports to the Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for areas assigned
• Participate in the monthly close process, including preparing the consolidation and financial statements as well as supporting schedules and analytics
• Participate in the preparation of required SEC reports, including Form 10Qs, 10Ks and 8Ks
• Prepare quarterly segment reporting and inventory analytics
• Participate in quarterly accounting webcasts for business units
• Participate in the quarterly balance sheet review process
• Manage leases, including maintenance of business units and Corporate and performing monthly controls
• Manage and review the annual data submitted by business units to Corporate
• Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting deadlines and regulations, including ensuring reports are complete, accurate, timely and reconciled to U.S. GAAP
• Provide support to internal and external auditors during the quarterly/annual close processes
• Provide support to business units during the monthly close process and on an ad hoc basis
• Assist in performing technical accounting research and preparing memos for matters that affect the Company
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in the completion of the project(s)
• Perform other related duties / special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 2-3 years of public accounting/audit experience; manufacturing experience is a plus
• Knowledge of current US GAAP
• Strong work ethic and project management skills as well as an interest in automation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
• Self-starter, results oriented, willingness to learn
• Available to travel, both domestically and internationally
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)
• Experience with OneStream, JDE, CoStar and/or Workiva is a plus
