    My team has recently partnered with a bank that is recognized as one of America's Best Banks 2023 and as a Best Bank to Work For 2022. The bank has a long-standing history of success, that is largely due to its unwavering commitment to a customer-first approach. They offer various services in consumer, business, and wealth management.

    As the Controller, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team; reporting directly to the CFO and working closely alongside Group Leaders across the bank. The Controller oversees all accounting policies and procedures, managing the financial records and maintains the accounting systems used in various accounting schedules, financial statements, board reports, and analyses.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate company financial statement presentation.
    • Prepare and complete information for tax reporting purposes.
    • Oversee the preparation of and submit reports to the Asset Liability Committee.
    • Organize the Matrix of Controls and present to Internal Audit for testing.
    • Monitor cash management and daily liquidity needs.
    • Organize, facilitate, and measure cost control strategies.
    • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
    • Oversee daily operations of the Finance and Controls department.
    • Manage the preparation of the public company reporting.
    • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory reporting requirements.
    • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
    • Design, establish, and maintain structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
    • Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    1. Minimum 5 years of prior accounting experience with a minimum three years with a public company.
    2. CPA designation strongly preferred.
    3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles.
    4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
    5. Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
    6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
    7. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
    8. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    9. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
    10. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
