    This is a remote role, however, there is an office that you're able to go into to meet with the team or get out of the house!

    As a Business Development Manager, your main responsibility will be to strategically acquire new accounts and foster existing client relationships, aligning with our sales and business plans to exceed targets. Collaborating closely with Branch Managers and Sales Executives, you will lead initiatives to promote and sell our services, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while nurturing current client partnerships.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to prepare and negotiate bids, RFQs, and quotations.
    • Participate in sales campaigns and events, coordinating with local and international partners.
    • Conduct sales visits within designated territories and assist in international business development efforts when required.
    • Manage personal business portfolio according to market strategy, including joint sales visits with peers.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and support future sales office expansion.

    Client and Supplier Management:

    • Proactively manage client accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and regular follow-up.
    • Communicate contract information effectively to all stakeholders.
    • Uphold professional conduct in client entertainment activities, reflecting positively on our company.
    • Address customer requests promptly and adhere to service level agreements.

    Administration:

    • Stay informed about competitor activity and industry trends.
    • Represent the company at industry functions when necessary.
    • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records in CRM systems.
    • Provide regular sales activity reports and attend team meetings and training sessions.

    Performance Measures:

    • Consistently fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision, demonstrating effective communication and professionalism.
    • Foster positive relationships across departments and prioritize customer needs in decision-making.
    • Apply strategic selling techniques to penetrate the market and achieve sales goals.
    • Possess a solid understanding of financial principles driving profitability.
    • Meet key performance indicators and sales objectives in accordance with company guidelines.

    Qualifications:

    Education and Certification:

    • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree or relevant certification preferred.

    Required Knowledge:

    • Proficiency in computer applications and reporting tools.
    • Comprehensive understanding of freight forwarding procedures, regulations, and industry departments.
    • 2-5 years of industry experience, demonstrating strong customer service and sales skills.

    Experience:

    • Background in customer service with proven sales success.
