    SUMMARY

    Oversee overall performance of Service Center (personnel, administration, operations, and sales) and work to meet and/or exceed Sales/Operations objectives as presented by management.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including, but not limited to:

    • Communicate sales and operational objectives and share performance reports with staff.
    • Encourage employee growth, coach, and acknowledge good performance and work at improving substandard performance.
    • Conduct employee performance reviews and training as required.
    • Meet with vendors as needed to develop partnership, coordinate training, and address concerns and demands.
    • Process customer requests in compliance with customer requirements.
    • Address all customer complaints and/or inquiries promptly. Assure equitable resolution to maximize customer satisfaction.
    • Enforce adherence to Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Task lists as they pertain to administration, operations, and sales.
    • Interface with appropriate management and/or department personnel regarding administration, operations, sales, human resources, and other concerns as needed.
    • Participate and contribute in scheduled Service Center and Service Center Supervisor meetings.
    • Coordinate and report on employee work schedule/hours.
    • Enforce corporate guidelines for expediting Open Orders and Open Purchase Orders for transactions relating to personnel.
    • Maintain Cycle Count Schedule and interface as needed with appropriate Materials Group personnel to maintain accurate and viable inventory.
    • Manage facility, equipment, and site services, and recommend changes in allocation of space and storage as needed.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized facility by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Enforce adherence to and report violations of policies as defined in company handbook.
    • Attend training courses to stay current with industry trends.
    • Become proficient in current business system.
    • Become knowledgeable of the company’s organization, structure, product lines, and policies and procedures.
    • Ad hoc activities as requested.

     

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Able to effectively communicate orally and in writing with customers, suppliers, and employees
    • Demonstrated supervisory skills
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Knowledge of basic algebra, percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication; able to compute gross margin percentage

     

    EDUCATION

    Four-year college degree: one-two year’s supervisory experience preferred; ten years related industry experience.

     

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Valid class “C” CA driver’s license
