The Role

As a Budtender, you are the face of Holy Smokes. You’ll be the guide for everyone from the "canna-curious" beginner to the seasoned connoisseur. This isn't just a cashier position; it’s a consultative sales role where your knowledge of terpenes, cannabinoids, and strain effects makes the difference.

What You’ll Do

Consultative Sales: Engage with customers to understand their wellness goals and recommend premium flower, edibles, and concentrates based on desired effects.

Product Expertise: Stay up-to-date on our rotating inventory of premium products and the science behind them.

Operational Excellence: Maintain an organized, clean, and compliant storefront. Assist with inventory counts and restocking.

Drive Growth: Participate in sales incentives and promotions. We reward staff who take the initiative to move featured products and hit store goals.

Customer Experience: Provide a welcoming, non-judgmental environment that reflects our wellness-first mission.

What We’re Looking For

Passion for Cannabis: You genuinely enjoy talking about the nuances of different strains and consumption methods.

Reliability: You show up on time, take your shifts seriously, and can be counted on by your team.

Motivation: You are goal-oriented and excited by the prospect of performance-based incentives.

Organization: You have an eye for detail and can handle over-the-counter transactions with accuracy and speed.

Communication: You can translate complex cannabis science into easy-to-understand advice for customers.

Requirements

Must be 21+ years of age.

Prior retail or customer service experience preferred (cannabis experience is a plus!).

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

Must pass all state-mandated background checks for cannabis workers in Minnesota.
