Job Description
Pure Natural Vibes is looking to employ a Budtender to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products at our Cannabis Dispensary located in West Orange New Jersey. The Budtender is responsible for greeting, and welcoming customers through pleasant interactions, and providing knowledgeable answers to customers' inquiries about select products, including the different strains, recommended uses, and different consumption methods.
To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in Cannabis Laws in the state of New Jersey in order to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, an outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases. Budtenders are expected to contribute and assist management in ensuring all processes, policies and procedures are being followed to ensure all regulatory standards are being met.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Advise customers on suitable cannabis and cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, and reactions to different strains and consumption methods.
· Provide high level Customer Service that consistently exceeds expectation that builds a lasting and loyal customer base.
· Educate customers on the safe and responsible use of their selected cannabis products.
· Ensure the Dispensary is clean and organized at all times, including reporting, and recording any noticeable hazardous conditions.
· Verify and confirm customers’ identification to ensure they are of legal consumption age of 21 years and older, before entering the dispensary and before each transaction.
· Meet/exceed day to day sales goals.
· Handle cash and debit transactions accurately including refunds and discounts.
· Accurately reporting and resolving all customer complaints within a 24 hour period.
· Responsible for accurately receiving, coordinating, and fulfilling customers’ orders by utilizing the Point of Sale inventory tracking system provided.
· Always maintain a can-do attitude by staying active and initiating and completing continued learning activities in a timely manner.
· Creating and maintaining an engaging environment by keeping a “Customer first” attitude.
· Maintain and execute all company policies and procedures with accuracy and completeness.
· Be punctual and perform work with enthusiasm and respect.
· Demonstrate a positive attitude and work well with co-workers, supervisors, management, customers, and vendors.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management to include community events.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Must be able to pass all background checks as required by NJCRC.
· Enthusiastic and highly motivated to learn about cannabis and the developing cannabis market in New Jersey.
· Available to work rotating weekends and some holidays.
· At least 2 years of Customer Service experience in retail, hospitality, or pharmacy assistant.
· Must be familiar with recreational cannabis laws in the state of New Jersey.
· Must be punctual, organized, problem solver and possess a can do attitude.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work in highly stimulated fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions.
· Strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow processes and procedures accurately without deviation.
· Ability to meet physical demands of the position including, standing/moving throughout the duration of shifts, and lifting packages up to 25lbs if necessary.
