    Our client, Buff Canada Ltd., is looking to add a Junior Marketing Manager to the team in Canmore, Alberta. The right candidate will be looking to expand their experience and work together to excel the brand and product position within the Canadian market, while supporting the overall growth of this global company.

    On a day-to-day basis the right candidate will:

    • Managing, planning, and implementing the global Marketing strategy throughout all communication channels
    • Monitor, evaluate, and report back on KPI’s of all marketing activity in line with the budget and company goals while following the marketing strategy and budget
    • Manage and coordinate multi-channel communication of the brand, including sales catalogues, promotional materials, and customized products which applies to the Sports and Safety product lines
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute all trade marketing actions of the brand (Tradeshows, In-store Actions, and eTrailers) alongside the Global Trade Marketing Manager
    • Work closely with the North American Communications Manager to support asset management of media coverage, press releases, and industry reports for the Canadian Market while fulfilling media requests
    • Manage advertising media partner outreach such as calendar content deadlines, deliverable needs, and campaign alignment opportunities
    • Develop communications templates such as strategic briefs, collaborative marketing plans, and presentations

    The right candidate will demonstrate on their resume:

    • Undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or equivalent education and experience
    • 3+ years experience in an agency, corporate communications, or outdoor apparel marketing environment, developing and executing external/customer-facing communications plans
    • Experience in proofing, editing, and writing various corporate communications assets (articles, blogs, brochures, presentations, press releases, web content, social media posts, video scripts, email campaigns, etc.
    • Experience working with global teams across multiple time zones would be considered an asset
    • Bilingual French and English would be an asset.

    During the interview, we will be looking for behaviours that demonstrate:

    • Understanding of the Canadian outdoor retail market
    • Analytical, research, and creative skills with the ability to anticipate, interpret and integrate insights and complex industry trends into communication strategies that support business objectives
    • Excellent research, proofreading, writing, and editing skills; bring examples if possible!
    • Solid understanding of sharing content via social media, email campaigns, and other appropriate channels
    • Ability to work from a remote/home office setting while delivering measurable results in a timely, efficient manner
