Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist assists in the implementation of the Human Resources practices and provides day to day administrative and office support. Objectives include enhancing the performance of managers and staff by using your abilities and experience to support the company’s continued development; to add value to the organization; to be the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries; to provide advice and assistance to managers and staff.

Responsibilities
Provide advice and assistance to managers on staff recruitment, reference checks, employment verifications and other hiring tasks.
Responsible for training and development concerning all pertinent HR related issues, including C/A’s, terminations, performance reviews, crucial conversations and coaching.
Prepare and execute routine HR training for all employees and managers.
Directs and ensures compliance with the company’s conflict resolution policies and procedures.
Establishes and interprets policies and processes for employees and supervisors and ensures consistent application.
Performs routine audits for training, coaching and disciplinary actions.
Work closely with colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
Maintains HR Policies & Procedures and Employee Handbook.
Administrates disciplinary procedures and conducts investigation of employees for disciplinary matters to assist in making discipline recommendations in accordance to policies.
Monitors and facilitates all Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Claims.
Manages office operations and assists with office administration.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Specifications
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, labor relations and regulations.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to present and facilitate.
Able to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
Able to work alone on a broad variety of projects.
Able to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication with diverse levels within company and external customer organizations.
Able to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously.
Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or business-related field.
Minimum 2-4 years of prior Human Resources experience.
Specific experience with benefits, performance management, policy administration, payroll and overall workforce issues and challenges preferred.
Ability to work full time and additional hours when necessary to complete assigned tasks.
